New Blog!

I just started a new blog, kind of by accident. I thought I would use it to show you the crafts (mostly cards) that I have made. I also just started a quilt tonight, guess I'm feeling creative right now. I will probably post the progress on the quilt as well. The link is Rachel's crafts under blogs I read.

I've been going through old pictures and framing some for the house. I just love this picture of Bekah and since she just had a birthday I thought I'd share it. She is 5 months old here. I had a frame with four picture openings and I found pictures of all three kids at about 5 months old and put a poem in the fourth opening, I'm really happy with how the frame turned out. Plus I learned how to scan! Now I'm scanning everything! I'm a little behind on my computer skills, good thing I have a live in tutor.

Rebekah's Birthday

These little monkeys were helping me make the frosting for Bekah's cake this morning. What would I do without their help?

We had a family get together for Bekah's birthday. This cake has become a tradition for Bekah's birthday. A chocolate cake with chocolate frosting with m&ms on top (and sides). Death by chocolate! Bekah and Jonah decorated the cake. We had a hard time keeping Jonah away from the presents. He just started to understand what presents are for Christmas and was excited to open some more! It's always fun to have the cousins all together, they have a great time!

Van Update

We finally fixed our van! I don't know how to function with windows that actually open and heat that works. The broken windows have saved us money though, it's not so easy to drive through somewhere and get a soda. I think we fixed the heat just in time too! It is very exciting. We still need a new battery and antilock brake sensors which we will do on Friday. We have replaced the battery last year and the year before, very frustrating. This van is cursed for batteries. Maybe the third time will be the charm. Hopefully the van will get us through the year and a half of school we have left, we don't want to pour any more money into this van. Yes, it is a piece of junk, but we own that piece of junk!!

Happy New Year!

So last New Years Day we went to Pioneers park and walked around, it was so nice outside. This year was quite different, but good. We had fun sledding today. Well, Sam wasn't too crazy about the cold and wet (neither am I). Jonah just wanted to stand in the way of the sled until the last minute and then roll away in the snow (he's such a boy). Sam did go down the hill on the long sled with mom or dad. All in all, a great day! (except for that Nebraska game)
